Vermont RN License Renewal Requirements
Vermont RNs must satisfy a continuing competency requirement. You can satisfy this requirement by meeting one of the following requirements: The active practice hour requirement which is 50 days (400 hours) in the last two years for paid compensation as a registered or licensed practical nurse or 120 days (960 hours) within the last five years of the current licensing period; or the continuing education requirement which is to complete 20 hours of continuing education (CE) within the last two years; or hold a nationally recognized nursing certification; or complete an original/initial nursing program or re-entry nursing program within the last five years.
