New York RNs and NPs are required to complete a course on Infection Control upon initial licensure and every four years thereafter. In addition, there is a one-time requirement for a 2-hour course on Child Abuse Identification and Reporting. LPNs are required to complete a course on Infection Control upon initial licensure and every four years thereafter.
