CE Requirements for Oregon Nursing License Renewal
Oregon RNs and LPNs must complete a one-time requirement of six (6) hours in pain management on initial licensure, a one-hour course provided by the Oregon Pain Management Commission required every licensure, and a two-hour course on cultural competency required every licensure. RNs and LPNs must attest to 400 practice hours in the previous 2 years. If you cannot attest to this, you must attest to 600 practice hours and 20 hours of continuing education in the previous 3 years. If you cannot attest to this, you must attest to 800 practice hours and 30 hours of continuing education in the previous 4 years. If you cannot attest to any of the above and have less than 960 practice hours in the last 5 years, you must apply for re-entry. APRNs must maintain certification with the certifying body.
