When is the nurse re-licensure deadline for Indiana nurses?
All Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licenses expire on October 31st of odd-numbered years. All Practical Nurse licenses expire on October 31st of even-numbered years.
Are there any mandatory continuing education requirements for Indiana nurses?
Indiana APRNs with prescriptive authority must complete thirty (30) hours of continuing education, eight (8) of which must be in pharmacology. In addition, beginning with DEA initial registrations or renewals starting June 27, 2023, all DEA-registered practitioners (with the exception of DVM-only license holders) are required to complete 8 hours of one-time training on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders.
