Delaware Advanced Practice Nurse CEU Requirements
All Alabama advanced practice nurses, (APRNs) are required to complete thirty (30) hours of continuing education every two-year renewal cycle, including 2-hours of substance abuse. Delaware APRN License Renewal Requirements
All advanced practice nurses licensed in Delaware must complete 30 hours of continuing education each license renewal period. Twenty eight of the thirty hours of continuing education are electives and 2 hours are required in substance abuse which means you can choose the topics that are relevant to your nursing practice and interests to meet your continuing education requirements. Yes, Advanced Practice Nurses are required to take 2 hours in substance abuse. All other continuing education hours are electives.
Beginning with DEA initial registrations or renewals starting June 27, 2023, all DEA-registered practitioners (with the exception of DVM-only license holders) are required to complete 8 hours of one-time training on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders.
