Arkansas Advanced Practice Nurse CEU Requirements
All Arkansas advanced practice nurses, (APRNs) are required to complete fifteen (15) hours of continuing education every two-year renewal cycle, including 5-hours of pharmacotherapeutics for APRNs with prescribing authority. Arkansas APRN License Renewal Requirements
All advanced practice nurses licensed in Arkansas must complete 15 hours of continuing education each license renewal period. All the fifteen hours of continuing education are electives except for 5 hours required in pharmacotherapeutics for APRNs with prescriptive authority. For your elective CE hours, you can choose the topics that are relevant to your nursing practice and interests to meet your continuing education requirements. Beginning with DEA initial registrations or renewals starting June 27, 2023, all DEA-registered practitioners (with the exception of DVM-only license holders) are required to complete 8 hours of one-time training on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders.
