Oklahoma Nursing CEU Requirements
Oklahoma RNs and LPNs may complete twenty-four (24) contact hours of CE within the preceding two years to fulfill their continuing competency requirement; there are several other ways to satisfy the continuing competency requirement. APRNs must maintain certification with the certifying body and those with prescriptive authority must complete fifteen (15) hours of continuing education in pharmacotherapeutics. CE Requirements for Oklahoma Nursing License Renewal
Oklahoma RNs and LPNs may complete twenty-four (24) contact hours of CE within the preceding two years to fulfill their continuing competency requirement; there are several other ways to satisfy the continuing competency requirement. These include: 1. Employment in a position that requires a registered nurse/practical nurse license with verification of at least 520 work hours; or 2. Current certification in a nursing specialty area; or 3. Completion of a Board-approved refresher course; or 4. Completion of at least six (6) academic semester credit hours of nursing coursework at the licensee’s current level of licensure or higher. APRNs must maintain certification with the certifying body and those with prescriptive authority must complete fifteen (15) hours of continuing education in pharmacotherapeutics.
