Course Summary

Pain is an individualized concept that requires an equally individualized solution. Every patient feels and responds to pain differently, and it is critical that pain management strategies for inpatients be tailored to each specific patient in order to provide adequate pain relief. A variety of analgesics and alternative treatments are available to assist with pain management, and nurses need to be familiar with these solutions for their patients’ benefit.
