Course Summary

While the common headache does not usually drive a patient to seek medical attention, migraine headaches often do. More than just a severe headache, a migraine headache is typically accompanied by intense pain and a sensitivity to light and sound that often results in nausea and vomiting. Providing relief from these headaches — through medication, lifestyle changes, or alternative therapies — is more than just a medical treatment; it frequently allows the patient a quality of life that would not exist without the treatment. This is the third in a four-part series on Migraine Pain.
