Course Summary

Every disease or injury incurred by the human body creates a chain reaction of physical responses. Pathophysiology is the study of these changes, ranging from cellular changes to biomechanical changes. Building on the information presented in Basics of Pathophysiology I, this course takes a look at autoimmune disorders, infectious diseases, congenital disorders, neoplastic diseases, blood and lymphatic disorders, endocrine disorders, and neurological diseases. Together, these two courses present critical information for nurses and nurse practitioners to provide early, accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment to minimize the chain reaction of effects and provide a positive patient outcome.
