Course Description
The purpose of this nursing continuing education course is to provide an overview of safe and effective use of over-the-counter products for symptoms related to cough and cold. Symptoms looked at will include fever, sinus congestion, cough, sore throat and allergies.
Learning Objectives
The participant will demonstrate familiarity with the safe use of over the counter medications.
The participant will be able to identify three over the counter medications used to treat fever.
The participant will demonstrate familiarity with the use of decongestants in sinus congestion.
The participant will demonstrate familiarity with medications used to manage cough.
The participant will demonstrate familiarity with medications used to manage allergies.
The participant will demonstrate familiarity with medications used to manage sore throat.
